Esta quinta feira dia 27 de junho às 16.00h iremos estar à frente da Reitoria da @uporto a exigir o corte de relações com o programa Horizon Europe que financia a investigação em universidades europeias e em alguns países parceiros, como Israel. Apelamos a que o Horizon Project deixe de financiar instituições israelitas e cesse a colaboração com estas entidades, que continuam a apoiar o genocídio em curso na Palestina. Apelamos a todos os movimentos (ou outras universidades parceiras no projeto Horizon) que se juntem a nós nesta ação e se manifestem contra o financiamento e apoio a instituições num estado de genocídio e apartheid.
This thursday, the 27th of june, the Belgian student encampments are organising a protest against the European multilateral research project known as Horizon Europe 🇵🇸
This project has Israeli partner universities. We find this to be unacceptable, especially considering Israeli universities directly and indirectly contribute to the violent siege in Gaza, and the IOF has purposefully bombed every institute of higher education in Gaza.
We ask all (student) movements in Europe to either join our European Resistance action in Brussels at 17h (location TBA), or launch their own initiatives on the 27th. We think an academic boycott of Israeli institutions is extremely important in the fight for a free Palestine. Join us and support the cause!
